(more language combinations to follow)

Reading a familiar story in a language a child doesn't yet speak or understand helps a child lay neural pathways for future learning and communication skills.

Recognisable locations

Local children and tourists can enjoy spotting the places our hero's go to and have fun finding the buildings in the pictures. They can play a real life "Where's the dragon?" game of their own.

Social and historical context

The settings and activities of the characters provide a fondation for developing conversations. Learning about what people did and do and the impact on the local landscape, architecture and lifestyle.

Reading skills

The stories and pictures appeal to children. A pre-reader can enjoy studying the pictures and tell the story in their own way based on what they see. A love of reading can be encouraged by the tangible experience of holding a book and turning the pages to search for the characters and places the child recognizes.
